It’s hard to believe looking at this image that this kitchen was in a house that had been totally gutted. No plumbing, no lights, no appliances, no cabinetry just the support beam across the middle of the ceiling. Photo by Bealer Photographic Arts.

Oakwood Bedroom Design

When work began on this room, the support beam down the middle of the ceiling was our biggest obstacle. To help lessen the impact of the beam, two ceiling fans were installed on either side of it to help center the room. New hardwood flooring was also installed. A splash of green paint on the walls help to brighten up this room. The homeowner’s furniture really compliments the new space. Photo by Bealer Photographic Arts.

Above: Interior view of a living room in Historic South Park. The bird images were taken from a calendar and framed individually. The funky green chair is from the Pottery Barn and the Charley Harper print adds a bit of interest to the small wall between the passageways. Notice the textured hand prints on the wall. Nest Designs LLC like to personalize every space to the homeowner’s tastes.

When work began in this space, we had roughed in plumbing and a Jacuzzi tub.  No sinks, no lights, no running water, no electricity and no cabinetry. After a few weeks of hard work by an professional interior designer and skilled contractors, this bathroom was transformed. There is a new tile deck surrounding the tub, a new custom vanity, new granite counter-tops, a glass shower enclosure, and new tile on the walls of the walk in shower. The end results are amazing. The use of subway tile and glass mosaic tile still lend to the character of this historic house but allow the master bathroom to have an updated look that will stand the test of time. Photo by Bealer Photographic Arts.
